UAD Guidance and Counseling Student Team Wins 2nd Place in National Scientific Writing Competition

Alhamdulillah, the Student Team of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BK) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) has succeeded in winning 2nd place in the Scientific Writing competition branch at the Counseling Week Championship #8 organized by Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri .

This activity was carried out and the championship was announced on Saturday, March 23 2021 online via zoom meeting. UAD BK Study Program students, Nurul Hanifah Puteri and Dikki Herdiansyah, succeeded in winning 2nd place in the essay competition at the championship. They felt a sense of pride and gratitude after the announcement took place because they had succeeded in bringing this championship.

This achievement is the result of the hard work of UAD BK Study Program students and students who continue to be enthusiastic in honing their soft skills. The UAD BK Study Program will continue to accompany students in developing soft skills and hard skills.

UAD Guidance and Counseling Presents BRIN Researchers to Incubate and Identify BRIN Research Opportunities

On Monday, March 23 2024 AD to coincide with 12 Ramadan 1445 H at the Grand Rohan Hotel Yogyakarta, the Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BK) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Ahmad Dahlan University held Incubation and Opportunity Identification activities Research from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). This activity presented speakers from BRIN, namely AM Saifullah Aldeia, M.Pd. Apart from that, this activity was attended by all lecturers at the BK FKIP UAD study program.

Irvan Budhi Handaka, M.Pd., as Head of the BK FKIP UAD Study Program (Kaprodi) opened this activity by starting with a speech from the Head of Study Program. He expressed his gratitude for the willingness of the lecturers of the UAD FKIP BK Study Program to attend this event, so that this event could be held successfully and smoothly. He added that this activity aims to identify research opportunities that can be explored by lecturers at the UAD FKIP BK Study Program in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Currently, UAD FKIP BK Study Program lecturers still rely on UAD internal research grants and from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). This is the first step for UAD FKIP BK Study Program Lecturers in expanding their wings in carrying out research or research which can now submit research proposals to the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).

This activity was continued by AM Saifullah Aldeia, M.Pd., as the resource person for this activity. He explained the research schemes that can be taken by UAD FKIP BK Study Program lecturers in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Of course, the research schemes presented are related to the science of guidance and counseling. Not only that, he also added about the proposal input mechanism, research implementation, and the research reporting process carried out through the BRIN scheme.

He explained the various experiences carried out by the resource persons in carrying out research through BRIN very clearly and in detail. So the UAD FKIP BK Study Program lecturers are interested in being able to send research proposals through the BRIN scheme. This is proven by the enthusiasm of the UAD FKIP BK Study Program lecturers in question and answer forums and discussions regarding BRIN research. At the end of his presentation, AM Saifullah Aldeia, M.Pd., added that researchers at BRIN are open to working together, collaborating in implementing research carried out through schemes at BRIN.

This activity went very conducively and ended with breaking the fast with the extended family of the UAD FKIP BK Study Program.

Learning to Write International Articles is as Easy as Status Update: UAD BK Study Program Lecturer Workshop

On Monday, March 23 2024 AD to coincide with 12 Ramadan 1445 H, the Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Program (BK) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Ahmad Dahlan University held an International Article Writing Workshop for UAD FKIP BK Study Program Lecturers. The activity is called “Learning to Write International Articles as Easy as Prof. Suyatno’s Status Updates”.

This activity presented Prof. Dr. Suyatno, M.Pd.I., who is a Professor in School-Based Management Science and Deputy Dean of FKIP UAD for Al-Islam and Muhammadiyahan (AIK), Academics and Student Affairs. This activity was attended by all the UAD FKIP BK Study Study Lecturers who were very enthusiastic about taking part in this activity. Head of the BK FKIP UAD Study Program (Kaprodi), Irvan Budhi Handaka, M.Pd., in his speech expressed his thanks to all the lecturers and committees who had been involved in making this activity a success. He added that the aim of this activity is to increase the quantity and quality of article publications in reputable international journals or proceedings.

The event was opened by the Head of the BK FKIP UAD Study Program, and continued with the presentation of material by Prof. Dr. Suyatno, M.Pd.I., as speaker. He explained how to choose potential themes that can be developed by UAD FKIP BK Study Program lecturers in conducting research, so that the output of the research will produce international class articles. The hope is that the article can be published in a reputable international journal or proceeding.

Apart from that, he also explained how articles can be published in reputable international journals or proceedings. One way is to look for journals or proceedings that can process quickly and can be trusted. Apart from that, he provided several links to reputable international journals that are free and of good quality, so that lecturers at the BK FKIP UAD study program can use them in publishing articles that have been prepared.

After presenting the material by the resource person, this event was continued with a question and answer session by the UAD FKIP BK Study Program lecturers to the resource person, and also ended with a group photo.
