End of Management Period: PIK-M Sahabat Mentari UAD Holds Congress and Milki is New Chair and Deputy

Sunday, November 5 2023, at the East Glass Room of the Main Campus of Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD), the Student Information and Counseling Center (PIK-M) Sahabat Mentari UAD held a Congress and Inauguration of the 2022-2023 Management Period.

This congress and inauguration activity raised the theme “Reflections on the PIK-M Sahabat Mentari Movement as a Counseling Community at Ahmad Dahlan University”. With this theme, PIK-M Sahabat Mentari UAD hopes that the PIK-M Sahabat Mentari organization can become a community that can accommodate students to develop their talents and interests in the field of Guidance and Counseling.

This Congress activity is a form of activity to account for all activities and management for the 2022-2023 period. Apart from that, this activity was also carried out to elect and inaugurate a new Chairman and Deputy for the 2023 – 2024 period.

Congress activities this time went smoothly, and the election of the new PIK-M Sahabat Mentari chairman and deputies also went smoothly and. Nadia Rahma (UAD FKIP BK Study Program Student, Class of 2021) was elected as Chair, and the Deputy Chair was Cesseya Mudi Romansa (UAD FKIP BK Study Program Student, Class of 2021).

This activity ended with a group photo and friendship.

HMPS Guidance and Counseling UAD Holds Congress and Inaugurates New Management

Sunday, October 29 2023, at the Meeting Room Campus 2 Unit B UAD, the Guidance and Counseling Study Program Student Association (HMPS) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) successfully held the XIII Congress and the Inauguration of HMPS UAD BK Period 2023/2024.

This activity was carried out offline in the Campus 2 Meeting Room, unit B. This activity took place from 07.45 WIB and finished at 17.00 WIB. This event was opened directly by Mrs. Dr. Muya Barida, M.Pd and this activity was also attended by TPM Mr. Arif Budi Prasetya, M.Pd. As well as ladies and gentlemen, lecturers in the guidance and counseling study program and this activity was also attended by representatives of the Muhammadiyah Autonomous Organization (Ortom) at FKIP UAD level, Student Organizations (Ormawa) at FKIP UAD level, HMPS BK FKIP UAD Demissioners, and student representatives from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at FKIP UAD .

This activity was carried out to discuss GBHO, GBHK, additional regulations, explain and report the responsibilities of HMPS BK for the 2022/2023 period. Followed by the inauguration of the chairman and deputy chairman of HMPS BK for the 2023/2024 period. This activity went smoothly without any obstacles to carry out the XIII Congress and the Inauguration of the 2023/2024 HMPS BK management with the theme “Strengthening Internal Integration and Regeneration to Create Progressive Performance of HMPS BK” with this theme we hope that the management can realize regeneration to create progressive performance for HMPS BK and better cooperation.

Hopefully the chairman, deputy chairman and management can carry out and maintain their mandate well.

UAD Guidance and Counseling Students Win 2nd Place in National Essay Competition

Students from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BK) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) succeeded in winning 2nd place in the National Essay Competition at Ibn Khaldun University Bogor.

The 2023 “National Guidance & Counseling Competition” (NGCN) competition which was held at Ibn Khaldun University Bogor succeeded in attracting students from Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Programs throughout Indonesia. The team from the UAD FKIP BK Study Program was no exception. They successfully took part in the competition which was held on October 9 – November 18 2023.

The team led by Diki Herdiansyah (2020 class of UAD FKIP BK Study Program student) and consisting of Nurfazriyah, and Falakhul Darojatun Adzkiah (2021 UAD FKIP BK Study Program student) managed to win 2nd place.

The Study Program wishes Congratulations and Success to the BK FKIP UAD Student Team, and hopes that with the achievements of this competition, it will become more consistent and can improve various other championships.

Student Team Wins 3rd Place in Guidance and Counseling Media Competition at UNS

On October 21 2023, a team of students from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BK) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) won the championship in the competition. They won 3rd place in the Guidance and Counseling Media Competition.

Taking place at Sebelas Maret University (UNS), the competition was held and participated in by various teams from Higher Education Guidance and Guidance Study Programs throughout Indonesia. The team from the BK FKIP Study Program at Ahmad Dahlan University managed to beat various teams from other universities, and won 3rd place.

They consist of Dedy Setiawan, Sabila Ghifaa Rina, and Naufal Arrofi, who are students from the BK FKIP UAD Study Program class of 2022 who managed to outperform various other teams in the competition.

The Study Program wishes Congratulations and Success to the BK FKIP UAD Student Team, and hopes that with the achievements of this competition, it will become more consistent and can improve various other championships.

UAD PPG Guidance and Counseling Students Pass 100%

Tuesday, November 14 2023, the graduation of students from the Pre-Service Professional Teacher Education Program (PPG) Batch 2 for the 2022/2023 Academic Year was officially announced by the Directorate of Professional Teacher Education, Directorate General of Teachers and Education Personnel (GTK), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology ( Ministry of Education and Culture) Republic of Indonesia.

All Pre-Service PPG students in the Guidance and Counseling (BK) field of study who were placed at Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) passed 100%. A number of hundreds of PPG Pre-service BK students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UAD successfully graduated from the many lecture activities that had been carried out.

After graduation, students will receive placements as professional teachers in various school agencies in Indonesia. With this, the BK FKIP UAD Study Program (Prodi) wishes you congratulations and success, hopefully full of blessings and benefits for all graduates.

UAD BK Students together with UAD Volleyball UKM Win 1st Place in Volleyball at UNISA Yogyakarta Cup 1

The Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) Volleyball Team succeeded in recording new history by winning first place in the UNISA Yogyakarta Cup which took place on 6-10 November 2023. The tournament, which was participated in by national private universities, presented a fierce match, where UAD managed to beat resistance from Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) in the final match which took place on the field of the integrated campus of Aisyiyah University in Yogyakarta on Friday, 10 November 2023.

On their way to winning the title, the UAD Volleyball team which was strengthened by students from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BK) showed superior performance. First, they managed to overcome the team from Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY) in the preliminary round with a landslide score of 3-0. Second, in the semifinal match, UAD faced a team from the Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo (UMPO) and won again with a score of 3-0.

The top match, which was the final match against UMS, was a memorable match for the UAD Volleyball team. Even though they were faced with tough competition, BK UAD students still showed high fighting spirit. The final result of the final match was 3-2, ensuring that the first place title belonged to UAD.

Apart from teamwork in playing, this success was also supported by contributions from BK UAD students who took part in the team. Cindy Fitriadita (2020), Indah Octaviana (2019), Milinia Indah Saputri (2019), and Trishala Ayu Ningrum (2023).

Cindy Fitriadita, as the team representative, expressed her pride in an interview via WhatsApp on November 23 2023. She expressed her joy at the results achieved by her team. “Of course I feel proud and happy with this achievement. The training we underwent has produced results in line with expectations,” said Cindy.

Cindy also did not forget to convey her hopes for the future of the UAD Volleyball team. “I hope that the achievements we have achieved will motivate the team to be more intensive and enthusiastic in training. The aim is to prepare for other prestigious events and maintain consistency in winning,” he added.

UAD Guidance and Counseling Study Program Holds Socialization on Accelerating Student Studies

Monday, on November 6 2023 AD to coincide with 22 Rabiul Ahir 1445 Hijriah, the Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Program (BK) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) held a Socialization for the Acceleration of Student Studies. This activity aims to be one of the efforts of the UAD FKIP BK Study Program to increase students’ on-time graduation rate.

Located in the Multipurpose Room on the Main Campus of Ahmad Dahlan University, this activity was carried out. Head of the BK FKIP UAD Study Program (Kaprodi), Irvan Budhi Handaka, M.Pd., opened this event smoothly and solemnly. In his speech, Irvan said that this activity was motivated by the phenomenon of the low on-time graduation rate for UAD FKIP BK Study Program students.

Therefore, the Study Program created a special team called the Final Task Unit (Tetas). This team will focus on managing students’ final assignments, so that students’ on-time graduation rates can increase. In fact, the study program targets that the student graduation rate is less than 4 years or less than 8 semesters.

Irvan, Head of the BK FKIP UAD Study Program, added that students also need lecture management, thesis supervision mechanisms, and tips for students so they can complete their final assignment smoothly and graduate on time.

Class of 2020 students who are currently in semester 7, attended as participants by listening carefully to the material from the resource person. The resource person for this activity was Dr. Wahyu Nanda Eka Saputra, M.Pd., Kons. as Lecturer in the BK FKIP UAD Study Program. He explained student tips and tricks in the thesis preparation process. Apart from that, Wahyu also added regarding the ethics of contacting supervisors, and time management for completing the thesis.

This activity ended with a group photo and giving resume assignments to students as a requirement for students to register for the thesis exam.

Gathering of the UAD Guidance and Counseling Study Program’s extended family was held to increase cohesiveness

Sunday, 05 November 2023 AD (M), coinciding with 21 Rabiul Akhir 1445 Hijriah (H), the Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BK) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) held a Large Family Gathering UAD FKIP BK Study Program. All lecturers and educational staff of the UAD FKIP BK Study Program were present and took part in this activity.

Apart from that, families of lecturers and education staff, and student employment (SE) were present to enliven this activity. Located at one of the lecturers at the UAD FKIP BK Study Program and Head of the UAD FKIP BK Masters Study Program (Kaprodi), Dr. Dody Hartanto, M.Pd., in the Bantul area, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), this activity was held as a gathering and joint study event.

The joint study was completed by Dr. Hardi Santosa, M.Pd., as a lecturer who is also a lecturer at the UAD FKIP BK Study Program and Secretary of the UAD FKIP BK Masters Study Program (Sekprodi).

This activity ended with a group photo, friendly hospitality, and introductions between the extended family of the UAD FKIP BK Study Program.
