Encouraging the Quality of Research and Publications: UAD FKIP BK Study Program Holds Workshop on Patents and Appropriate Technology for Lecturers

Tuesday, January 9 2024, the Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BK) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) held a Workshop on Patents and Appropriate Technology for Lecturers at Campus 4 of Ahmad Dahlan University.

The workshop aims to provide lecturers with in-depth insight into the patent registration process, practical technology development, and integration of research results into daily applications, as a strategic step in increasing innovation in the academic environment.

The activity was opened directly by the Head of the BK FKIP UAD Study Program and continued with the delivery of material by the resource person, namely Prof. Anton Yudhana, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. who is one of the lecturers in the Electrical Engineering Study Program
Ahmad Dahlan University. The second speaker in this workshop is Dr. Budi Santosa, M.Pd. who is one of the lecturers in the Automotive Technology Vocational Education department at Ahmad Dahlan University.

This activity was attended by lecturers from the UAD FKIP BK Study Program and took place in a solemn atmosphere. Mr and Mrs Lecturers were very enthusiastic about listening to the material presented by the presenters. By holding this activity, it is hoped that UAD FKIP BK Study Program Lecturers will be able to gain new insights and knowledge related to patent rights and also appropriate technology for lecturers. Alhamdulillah, the workshop ran smoothly without any obstacles. This activity closed with prayer then continued with a group photo.

Alhamdulillahirabbil’alamin, the Guidance and Counseling Study Program Student Association (HMPS BK) and the Friends of Mentari Student Information and Communication Center (PIK-M Sahabat Mentari) FKIP UAD have held Camp Counseling and Adventure Based Counseling (CCABC) HMPS BK UAD 2023 with the theme ” Cultivate brotherhood, build closeness, create kinship between students.” This activity was attended by 99 students, out of a total of 99 new students from the class of 2023. This CC ABC activity was also attended by invited guests from HMPS BK dropouts and PIK M Friends of Mentari dropouts, this activity was officially opened by the Student Support Team, Mr. Arif Budi Prasetya, M.Pd. offline at Graha Kinasih Kaliurang, Jl. Boyong No. Km. 25, Kaliurang, Hargobinangun, Kec. Pakem, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region.

Camp Counseling and Adventure Based Counseling (CC ABC) activities aim to help students improve their intelligence abilities in the field of guidance and counseling. As well as being able to get to know, understand and relate to fellow new students in the guidance and counseling study program. This year’s CC ABC activities were held for 2 days, namely on Wednesday, 20 December 202 and Thursday, 21 December 2023. On the first day, the CC ABC activities invited 3 extraordinary presenters, and were divided into 2 material delivery sessions. The first session in the morning discussed “Be Mindful” delivered by Mrs. Rohmatus Naini M.Pd., then continued with the material “Strategies for creating strong and superior students” by Mr. Dr. Caraka Putra Bhakti., M.Pd, then the second session in the afternoon continued with the presentation of material regarding “Prodigy and kinship between BK students” by Mrs. Dr. Muya Barida, M.Pd., Kons.

Then after the Asr prayer, competitions were held, such as Posters, Vocals and Poetry. In the evening, there were pensi performances by each class representative, and guest star performances, including KSBK, and De Consoul.

Increasing Community Service Outcomes: Guidance and Counseling Study Program FKIP UAD Holds Workshop on Book-Based PKM Outputs

Monday, December 11 2023, the Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BK) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) held a Community Service Output Workshop (PKM) in the form of Intellectual Property Rights (HKI) at Campus 4 of Ahmad Dahlan University.

The workshop aims to provide insight and knowledge to UAD FKIP BK Study Program lecturers regarding PKM outputs in the form of books, so that by carrying out this activity they can better understand the strategies, processes and benefits of developing and utilizing outputs in the form of books in the context of community service.

This activity is the second time after the PKM output workshop in the form of IPR which was held on December 4. The activity was opened directly by the Head of the BK FKIP UAD Study Program and continued with the delivery of material by the resource person, namely Mrs. Dr. Rina Ratih Sri Sundari, M.Hum., who is one of the lecturers at the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Ahmad Dahlan University. He presented material entitled “Writing Textbooks, References and Monographs According to National Bookkeeping Standards”.

This activity was attended by lecturers from the UAD FKIP BK Study Program and took place in a solemn atmosphere. Mr and Mrs Lecturers were very enthusiastic about asking questions regarding the material for writing books from the service activities that had been carried out. By holding this activity, it is hoped that UAD FKIP BK Study Program Lecturers will be able to gain new insight and knowledge regarding how to create a work in the form of a book in their community service project. The activity closed with a photo session with the presenters.

UAD BK Brings in Prof. Dr. Saifuddin Azwar: Holds Textbook Writing Workshop

Friday, November 10 2023, the Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) held a Textbook Writing Workshop for UAD FKIP BK Study Program Lecturers. Taking place at the Grand Rohan Hotel, this activity was attended by all lecturers at the BK FKIP UAD study program and resource persons, namely Prof. Dr. Saifuddin Azwar, M.A.

Head of the BK FKIP UAD Study Program (Kaprodi), Irvan Budhi Handaka, M.Pd., in his speech expressed his thanks to the lecturers and committee who took the time to attend this activity. This activity aims to increase the capacity of lecturers in making textbooks as a forum for implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. He also did not forget to express his thanks to the resource person, for agreeing to be present to share knowledge about making textbooks with the BK FKIP UAD lecturers.

Prof. Saifuddin Azwar, who is a Professor in the field of Psychiatry and also a resource person, delivered material on tips for writing textbooks, reasons why lecturers should write, and how to be productive in writing textbooks. All lecturers seemed enthusiastic in participating in this activity. Several lecturers asked the speakers questions about how to write well and consistency in writing textbooks.

This activity was continued with the distribution of topics that would be compiled into textbooks for each lecturer, and continued independent work. This activity then closed with a group photo and a friendly gathering.
