Friday, November 10 2023, the Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) held a Textbook Writing Workshop for UAD FKIP BK Study Program Lecturers. Taking place at the Grand Rohan Hotel, this activity was attended by all lecturers at the BK FKIP UAD study program and resource persons, namely Prof. Dr. Saifuddin Azwar, M.A.

Head of the BK FKIP UAD Study Program (Kaprodi), Irvan Budhi Handaka, M.Pd., in his speech expressed his thanks to the lecturers and committee who took the time to attend this activity. This activity aims to increase the capacity of lecturers in making textbooks as a forum for implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. He also did not forget to express his thanks to the resource person, for agreeing to be present to share knowledge about making textbooks with the BK FKIP UAD lecturers.

Prof. Saifuddin Azwar, who is a Professor in the field of Psychiatry and also a resource person, delivered material on tips for writing textbooks, reasons why lecturers should write, and how to be productive in writing textbooks. All lecturers seemed enthusiastic in participating in this activity. Several lecturers asked the speakers questions about how to write well and consistency in writing textbooks.

This activity was continued with the distribution of topics that would be compiled into textbooks for each lecturer, and continued independent work. This activity then closed with a group photo and a friendly gathering.

On Thursday, November 16 2023. The Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BK) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Ahmad Dahlann University (UAD) received a visit as well as Benchmarking from the Faculty of Da’wah and Islamic Communication, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Holy.

This activity aims to mutually strengthen the quality of institutions, both Ahmad Dahlan University and IAIN Kudus. Located in the Integrated Laboratory Building at Ahmad Dahlan University, this activity was carried out. Head of the Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Program (Kaprodi) FKIP UAD, Irvan Budhi Handaka, M.Pd., in his speech expressed his thanks and welcome to colleagues from IAIN Kudus. It was a great honor for the UAD BK to receive a visit and at the same time provide Benchmarking experience to IAIN Kudus colleagues.

The Dean of the Faculty of Da’wah and Islamic Communication, IAIN Kudus, also expressed his gratitude to the UAD BK for receiving the visit well, and was willing to share his experience for Benchmarking this time.

This Benchmarking activity was carried out on several topics, namely Benchmarking regarding the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) activities and Preparation for accreditation from the Independent Education Accreditation Institute (LAMDIK).

Sunday, October 29 2023, at the Meeting Room Campus 2 Unit B UAD, the Guidance and Counseling Study Program Student Association (HMPS) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) successfully held the XIII Congress and the Inauguration of HMPS UAD BK Period 2023/2024.

This activity was carried out offline in the Campus 2 Meeting Room, unit B. This activity took place from 07.45 WIB and finished at 17.00 WIB. This event was opened directly by Mrs. Dr. Muya Barida, M.Pd and this activity was also attended by TPM Mr. Arif Budi Prasetya, M.Pd. As well as ladies and gentlemen, lecturers in the guidance and counseling study program and this activity was also attended by representatives of the Muhammadiyah Autonomous Organization (Ortom) at FKIP UAD level, Student Organizations (Ormawa) at FKIP UAD level, HMPS BK FKIP UAD Demissioners, and student representatives from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at FKIP UAD .

This activity was carried out to discuss GBHO, GBHK, additional regulations, explain and report the responsibilities of HMPS BK for the 2022/2023 period. Followed by the inauguration of the chairman and deputy chairman of HMPS BK for the 2023/2024 period. This activity went smoothly without any obstacles to carry out the XIII Congress and the Inauguration of the 2023/2024 HMPS BK management with the theme “Strengthening Internal Integration and Regeneration to Create Progressive Performance of HMPS BK” with this theme we hope that the management can realize regeneration to create progressive performance for HMPS BK and better cooperation.

Hopefully the chairman, deputy chairman and management can carry out and maintain their mandate well.

Monday, on November 6 2023 AD to coincide with 22 Rabiul Ahir 1445 Hijriah, the Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Program (BK) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) held a Socialization for the Acceleration of Student Studies. This activity aims to be one of the efforts of the UAD FKIP BK Study Program to increase students’ on-time graduation rate.

Located in the Multipurpose Room on the Main Campus of Ahmad Dahlan University, this activity was carried out. Head of the BK FKIP UAD Study Program (Kaprodi), Irvan Budhi Handaka, M.Pd., opened this event smoothly and solemnly. In his speech, Irvan said that this activity was motivated by the phenomenon of the low on-time graduation rate for UAD FKIP BK Study Program students.

Therefore, the Study Program created a special team called the Final Task Unit (Tetas). This team will focus on managing students’ final assignments, so that students’ on-time graduation rates can increase. In fact, the study program targets that the student graduation rate is less than 4 years or less than 8 semesters.

Irvan, Head of the BK FKIP UAD Study Program, added that students also need lecture management, thesis supervision mechanisms, and tips for students so they can complete their final assignment smoothly and graduate on time.

Class of 2020 students who are currently in semester 7, attended as participants by listening carefully to the material from the resource person. The resource person for this activity was Dr. Wahyu Nanda Eka Saputra, M.Pd., Kons. as Lecturer in the BK FKIP UAD Study Program. He explained student tips and tricks in the thesis preparation process. Apart from that, Wahyu also added regarding the ethics of contacting supervisors, and time management for completing the thesis.

This activity ended with a group photo and giving resume assignments to students as a requirement for students to register for the thesis exam.
